Medicine Box

I need a medicine box.  All our pills and potions are chucked in a cupboard, and quite frankly, it's out of control.  Something like one of these:

I also quite like this fruit bowl.  I think I have a growing obsession with the Swiss cross....

Divine swimwear

Ok, so it's the wrong season to be looking at new swimwear, but I just came across these gorgeous handmade costumes by My Sister Pat.  They make me want to swan around by the pool with a martini in my hand...,

Available through Lark.

Amy Butler Bed Linen

Wow, I had no idea Amy Butler has a line of organic bed linen.  I discovered this when I stumbled upon Simply Grove this morning.

Vintage bedding

We brought Isobel's new (old!) bed home with us on our latest trip to Nelson Bay and so I'm starting to think about her room.  I like the vintage feel of this image (via lovemaestore).  I like the thought of warm, feminine bed linen - without it being crazy over the top girly.  Something homely and comforting, that feels loved - but doesn't look too old-country-farmhouse in my mid-century inspired home.

I like something about all of these images.  Don't necessarily want her room to look like any of these, but I like the vibes.

A pretty pink start to the day

Such a beautiful sunrise on my way home from the gym this morning.   Not captured that brilliantly, but  I only had my iPhone.

Yes.  I was on my way HOME from the gym.   And the sun was just rising.  I think I need to lay down.

Making a duvet cover

Great post over at Design Sponge today on how to make a duvet cover.  So simple!  I will definitely be trying this one out.  I find the price of bed linen quite astounding, and most of it is so uninspiring.  This is the answer!

Yes I am alive....

I have been a bit quiet lately as I've been focusing on the 12 Week Body Transformation I mentioned a while back. For a girl who doesn't cook, learning has been great fun.....but hell it takes a lot of my time!  I like to line up all the ingredients and then chop them all up and put them in little bowls, just like they do on all the cooking shows.  Turns out that takes time, people!  But I am truly enjoying it.  And learning so much.  Not to mention exercising my little patootie off.  Look out Michelle Bridges arms, here I come....

We're back

We have just come home from a lovely week away in Nelson Bay.  I so love it up there.  It was Isobel's third birthday and she was very spoilt.  Who doesn't deserve to be when they are three?
